Cloud Architect (Senior)

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Architect with a minimum of ten years' professional experience in cloud architecture, particularly in Azure cloud engineering. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise Azure architecture, governance, and delivery within complex enterprise environments.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Azure and hybrid architecture strategies, standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps.

• Conduct workload assessments for adoption, migration, modernization, retention, or retirement.

• Create high-level and detailed solution designs.

• Apply the Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework.

• Design enterprise landing zones and secure network architectures.

• Define non-functional requirements, including resilience, backup, and disaster recovery design.

• Provide architectural oversight and assurance, including reviews of supplier designs.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM, along with Azure DevOps and DevSecOps practices.

• Manage monitoring and operational handover, including financial operations (FinOps).

• Deliver guidance on AI and GenAI architecture, along with documentation and architecture decision records (ADRs).

• Facilitate governance forums, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of ten years' experience in cloud architecture with a focus on Azure.

• Ten years of experience as a senior lead of software engineering teams.

• Demonstrable experience designing, implementing, and governing enterprise Azure cloud and hybrid solutions.

• Proficiency in applying the Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework.

• Experience developing cloud strategies, reference architectures, roadmaps, and governance standards.

• In-depth knowledge of AI and GenAI architecture best practices.

• Strong expertise in Azure governance and security principles.

• Experience with hybrid integration and networking in Azure.

• Proficiency in resilience and operational readiness design practices.

• Experience with Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Strong leadership skills, including architecture governance and assurance practices.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with governance, architecture documentation, standards, and roadmaps.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and mentoring skills.

• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and alerting practices.
