Summary

Designs, automates, and maintains secure cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform, Puppet, and PowerShell, troubleshooting issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

We are searching for an experienced Cloud Engineer to become part of our team.

In this position, you will take on a key role in supporting and advancing cloud infrastructure that underpins essential business operations. You will work alongside various cross-functional groups to deliver dependable, secure, and highly automated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Set up virtual machines on the GCP cloud platform, deploy necessary software, and configure the Windows operating system along with networking elements
  • Build Terraform and Puppet modules together with PowerShell scripts to drive infrastructure automation and configuration
  • Investigate incoming defects and address them according to assigned priority
  • Share daily progress reports with management covering reviewed and resolved support tickets
  • Carry out everyday support, maintenance, and documentation activities related to infrastructure components
  • Partner closely with network, security, and application teams to keep operations running smoothly
  • Observe, measure, and report on application health and availability indicators
  • Take part in automation initiatives, with willingness to pick up Worksoft Scripting Automation if not previously used
  • Lead the resolution of intricate problems that span multiple systems, teams, and technologies
  • Handle Worksoft installation on Windows servers and provide ongoing upkeep on the GCP platform

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical discipline
  • At least 3 years of applicable experience in development and infrastructure
  • Solid scripting capabilities in PowerShell and UNIX shell to automate processes and handle system administration tasks
  • Practical background in network or Linux system administration along with troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible for orchestrating infrastructure at scale
  • Real-world experience administering Linux and Windows within Google Cloud or another cloud platform
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for setting up and managing cloud resources
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken (B2+ level or higher)

Nice to have

  • Coding experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python or Go for creating automation utilities and supporting infrastructure tasks
