As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, deploying and operating the cloud infrastructure that supports Milence's digital products, charging operations and customer-facing services. You will ensure that our cloud platforms are secure, reliable and scalable while enabling engineering teams to deliver solutions efficiently across development, acceptance and production environments.

Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, you will work closely with Software Engineering, Data, IoT and Product teams to build and maintain the cloud foundations that power Milence's technology landscape. In addition, you will drive automation, improve operational excellence and contribute to the continuous evolution of our cloud and platform engineering practices.

What you will do

  • You will design, deploy and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring cloud environments are scalable, secure, cost-aware and aligned with business and engineering requirements.

  • You will establish and manage development, acceptance and production environments in collaboration with engineering teams, promoting DevOps practices that improve deployment reliability, performance and operational efficiency.

  • You will implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting capabilities across hybrid software and hardware environments, proactively identifying and resolving performance, availability and reliability issues.

  • You will automate repeatable infrastructure and operational processes, contributing to Infrastructure as Code practices and continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, consistency and reliability.

  • You will troubleshoot and resolve cloud, network and infrastructure issues, working independently on complex challenges and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams when broader technical input is required.

  • You will support secure cloud operations through identity and access management, network configuration, VPNs, firewalls and other infrastructure controls, enabling reliable integration between cloud platforms, corporate networks and hybrid or IoT environments.

You actively seek opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency, consistency and reliability.

You collaborate effectively with software, data, infrastructure and IoT teams and can translate technical requirements into practical cloud and platform solutions.

You take ownership of assigned environments and operational responsibilities and consistently deliver high-quality, reliable outcomes.

You learn new technologies quickly and adapt comfortably in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills and can work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

You are quality- and security-minded while remaining pragmatic and focused on continuous improvement and delivery.

You are comfortable working independently, managing complexity and contributing visibly to the evolution of Milence's digital infrastructure and engineering practices.
