The Cloud Platform Consultant (Enterprise Database) is responsible for delivering and continuously improving cloud database and platform operations supporting all AIA business units leveraging AIA’s enterprise cloud platform, primarily on Microsoft Azure. This role oversees and enhances day-to-day service delivery across incident, change, request, and problem management, ensuring operational excellence and service reliability.

The position focuses on optimizing cloud infrastructure through advanced administration of Azure services, automation, and performance tuning to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. In addition, the role contributes to strategic cloud initiatives by promoting best practices, supporting architecture and modernization efforts, and partnering with stakeholders to improve platform resilience, cost efficiency, and overall service quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•Lead the governance, administration, and optimization of the Azure cloud environment to ensure performance, scalability, and security.

•Drive continuous improvement of operational processes, standards, and governance frameworks.

•Enable cloud adoption and modernization by guiding application teams on architecture and best practices.

•Drive and lead service operations within a 24/7 rotating shift model, actively engaging in incident, change, request, and problem management to maintain high availability and responsiveness.

•Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and capability development for the team.

•Lead resolution of complex cloud issues and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes.

•Act as a trusted advisor, delivering expert guidance aligned with enterprise architecture and strategy.

Communication Requirements Internal & External

•Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including architecture teams, security teams, other operational teams and senior management.

•Provide regular updates on cloud operations performance, issues, and improvements.

•Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality cloud services.

Excellent command of spoken and written English to facilitate clear and concise communication. Minimum Job

Requirements:

Experience:

•7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering or Platform Operations within enterprise environments.

•Strong expertise in public cloud (primarily Azure), including migration, operations, and optimization.

•Relevant certifications (Azure, AWS, ITIL) preferred.

•Proven experience in automation, reliability, and enterprise cloud service operations.
