Summary
A 3-18 month W2 contract role, remote within the US, leading the migration of enterprise OpenShift/.NET C#/Angular applications and data center operations from on-premises to Azure. Day-to-day work centers on Azure cloud architecture, Terraform IaC and CICD pipelines, and Kubernetes/Helm-based deployments.
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Cloud Platform Engineer position! This is a 3-18 month contract and will be remote in United States.
This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the migration of enterprise applications from on-premises infrastructure to Azure Cloud platform - Drive the CoLocation project by transitioning data center operations from on-prem to CoLo environment
- Convert and migrate existing Openshift/.Net C#/Angular applications to Azure Cloud architecture
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Infrastructure as Code principles and Terraform
- Build and maintain CICD pipelines using Terraform for department-wide cloud deployment automation
- Develop and manage Helm charts and Kubernetes infrastructure for containerized application deployments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate complex interrelationships among applications, interfaces, and platforms
- Provide technical leadership and direction to less experienced engineers on cloud migration projects
- Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, architecture documentation, and project plans for migration initiatives
- Conduct systems analysis, design reviews, and testing from requirements gathering through user acceptance
What You'll Need to Have:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in application development and cloud platform engineering
- Expert-level proficiency in Azure Cloud services with deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and deployment models
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including building CICD pipelines for automated deployments
- Proven full-stack development capabilities in .NET/C# and Angular, with ability to migrate applications to cloud platforms
- Solid experience with Helm charts, Kubernetes orchestration, and container platform infrastructure
- Familiarity with Java and React development (future tech stack alignment)
Pay Range: $70-75/hr
