CLOUD OPERATIONS ENGINEER

Leading Investment Firm | London | 12-month contract position

THE ROLE

Own day-to-day Azure infrastructure operations for a leading alternative investments firm. You'll manage subscriptions, patch management, security posture, and identity infrastructure — balancing operational efficiency with a security-first approach in a regulated environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Administer Azure environment (compute, networking, storage, IAM)
2. Manage patch and vulnerability remediation; maintain emergency CVE runbook
3. Automate infrastructure using PowerShell/Terraform/Bicep
4. Support cloud security posture management (Wiz, GitHub Advanced Security)
5. Maintain AVD environment and session host management
6. Configure Entra ID, conditional access, and identity governance
7. Maintain and test disaster recovery runbooks
8. Monitor Azure infrastructure using Monitor and Log Analytics

WHO YOU ARE

Essential:

1. Hands-on Azure administration (compute, networking, storage, IAM)
2. Strong PowerShell scripting
3. Patch and vulnerability management experience
4. Azure Monitor and Log Analytics familiarity
5. Network security concepts (NSGs, segmentation, private endpoints)
6. Entra ID and conditional access configuration
7. Security-first mindset
8. Comfortable with change management processes
9. Excellent stakeholder management skills
10. Financial services or regulated environment background

Desirable:

1. Bicep or Terraform experience
