Job Title: CMM Operator
Reports to: CMM Programmer FLSA Status: Non- Exempt
Summary:
Abrasive Form is a world leader in high precision Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) machining. We machine turbine blades and vanes for many of the largest gas turbine manufacturers, aerospace and power industries around the world. We use high precision CNC milling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and 3 and 5-axis creep feed and CBN grinding.
The CMM Operator is responsible for operating & troubleshooting CMM Programs. A successful candidate has the ability to program CMM, preferably using PC-DMIS language.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create, Operate, trouble-shoot & modify CMM programs, desired in PC-DMIS.
- Work with CMM Programmer on new product development and with Quality Engineer on any quality issues.
- Inspect parts & improve production throughput.
- Trouble shoot old programs to improve CMM run time.
- Measure production parts on the CMM as needed.
- Basic understanding of AS9100 Quality Management systems & working with frozen planning.
- Participate in root cause identification & implementation of corrective action.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free from clutter.
- Other duties as assigned.
