CNC Machinist II

Overview

Cadrex is searching for a CNC Machinist (CNC Lathes) II who will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations by efficiently setting up and operating CNC lathe equipment. This position requires a solid understanding of CNC machining operations, the ability to perform complex setups, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards are met. Under the guidance of our production team, you will contribute to the success of our manufacturing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate CNC lathes to produce components, monitoring machining processes, and making real-time adjustments as needed for optimal performance
• Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensions and quality
• Make necessary tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments based on production requirements and engineering specifications
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes. Identify and report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs
• Troubleshoot machine issues and quality problems, implementing corrective actions as required to maintain production flow and quality standards
• Follow strict safety protocols, ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues. Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Accurately document production records, including part counts, machine logs, and quality control data
• Collaborate effectively with the production team, CNC programmers, and engineers to optimize machining processes and achieve production targets
