Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with anorectal and intestinal disorders.
  • Perform advanced surgical procedures including minimally invasive and open surgeries tailored to colorectal diseases.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care, monitoring patient recovery and managing complications.
  • Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and comply with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with evolving surgical techniques and medical knowledge.

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution with specialization in general surgery and further training in colorectal surgery.
  • Board certification or equivalent in colorectal surgery.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
  • Proven experience in treating anorectal and intestinal disorders with expertise in advanced surgical interventions.
  • Strong understanding of gastrointestinal anatomy, pathology, and surgical techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
