What You'll Have

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
One year of direct care experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements.
Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
Medication Administration certification (if designated for the role).
Required clearances, including Acts 33 & 34 and FBI clearance when applicable.
Physical examination and tuberculosis screening maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
For Community Participation Support Enhanced Services, applicable certifications or degrees as required by service definitions.

A Typical Day May Include

Supporting individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISP).
Assisting with community integration, volunteer opportunities, recreational activities, and social engagement.
Promoting independence in daily living skills, personal care, and decision-making.
Supporting individuals with vocational exploration and employment-focused activities.
Providing transportation and accompanying individuals to appointments, activities, and community events.
Monitoring health, safety, and well-being in all environments.
Implementing behavior support plans and communication strategies.
Administering medications in accordance with certification and agency policies.
Completing documentation, service notes, health records, and other required reports.
Collaborating with team members, families, and community partners to provide high-quality support.
Participating in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
