About the Role

An investment firm in Lekki is seeking an experienced Compliance & Risk Analyst to support internal audit, regulatory compliance, risk monitoring, and operational control activities while ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support internal audit planning and execution.
  • Review financial records, transactions, and accounting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Monitor postings and financial activities to ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
  • Reconcile and maintain the Asset Register, ensuring alignment between physical and system records.
  • Monitor bank accounts, transfers, and payments to ensure proper approvals and documentation.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations and ensure transactions are accurately captured in the General Ledger.
  • Monitor trading activities to ensure timely booking and authorization of transactions.
  • Conduct daily reviews of high-risk business units and escalate identified risks or policy breaches.
  • Prepare audit reports, findings, and recommendations.
  • Identify operational risks, control gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide independent recommendations to strengthen governance, compliance, and risk management processes.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar compliance, risk, or audit role.
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, AML/CFT monitoring, surveillance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACA, or ACCA (or progress toward qualification) is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent reporting, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
