About the Role
An investment firm in Lekki is seeking an experienced Compliance & Risk Analyst to support internal audit, regulatory compliance, risk monitoring, and operational control activities while ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal audit planning and execution.
- Review financial records, transactions, and accounting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Monitor postings and financial activities to ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
- Reconcile and maintain the Asset Register, ensuring alignment between physical and system records.
- Monitor bank accounts, transfers, and payments to ensure proper approvals and documentation.
- Review monthly bank reconciliations and ensure transactions are accurately captured in the General Ledger.
- Monitor trading activities to ensure timely booking and authorization of transactions.
- Conduct daily reviews of high-risk business units and escalate identified risks or policy breaches.
- Prepare audit reports, findings, and recommendations.
- Identify operational risks, control gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide independent recommendations to strengthen governance, compliance, and risk management processes.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar compliance, risk, or audit role.
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, AML/CFT monitoring, surveillance, and regulatory reporting.
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACA, or ACCA (or progress toward qualification) is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent reporting, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
