The student is responsible for providing general academic tutoring
services to an individual or small group on specific subject matter or
area of specialty. Student works under limited supervision, exercises a
moderate level of independent judgment and initiative and demonstrates
strong understanding in the subject area. Able to maintain
confidentiality and communicate effectively.
Duties:
Student tutors provide tutoring services in either a lab setting or on
an individual basis for the computer science introductory curriculum or
upper level courses as assigned. Tutors typically work 2-5 hours per
week including brief meetings with their supervisor. However, the hours
can vary depending on the need for tutoring in the department.
