Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Program management and oversight of construction related activities for new builds. This will include the ownership of the program scope, timeline, and budget.
Driving costs down and schedules shorter while maintaining quality.
Review of constructability of electrical and mechanical system and building designs associated with the construction of new data centers or the optimization of existing data centers.
Creation of program scope and equipment requirements, assist with request for proposals, award of General Contractor and capital requests.
Total program quality including the assisting with commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight of the execution of the program.
Issue/Manage the Request for Information process during construction and coordinate construction administration with engineers.
Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
Concurrently managing multiple program including new data center building and capital improvement program associated with existing data centers.
Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.
Travel to datacenter sites for the management of the Data Center Construction including constructability reviews, startup testing, and full commissioning, as required.
Technical leadership and continuous improvement of schedule, cost, risk, and change management functions.
Responsible to coordinate and work with Regional Senior Program Manager to ensure program cash flow is trending in line with budget and baseline expectations
Coordinate with program mangers to prepare and issue potential owner changes and analyze impact on owner changes to base program
Coordinate overall process of Monthly billing
Hands on experience achieving expert-level proficiency with ground-up development, management, and analysis of complex cost-and-resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6, to include verifiable experience performing schedule risk analysis (e.g., Monte Carlo), time impact analysis, critical path analysis, resource leveling, and related qualitative and quantitative schedule evaluations
Work with Edged Program Managers to ensure Autodesk Data is up to date and produce reports as needed on a periodic basis for Management review and to ensure program is meeting overall budget
Skills & Requirements
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
Must have a minimum of seven (7)+ years of related experience on complex projects (>$250 million)
Five (5)+ years of experience with electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, utilities, preconstruction, execution, and project closeout
Demonstrated responsibility of successful cost and schedule management on major projects
Specific Skills / Abilities
Experience directly related to the design or construction of large data center facilities, either colocation or client owned/operated.
Previous vendor and contractor/subcontractor negotiation and management skills associated with construction and program execution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with fast track design/build projects and or multiple significant upgrade projects.
Ability to coordinate within multidisciplinary internal teams
