We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive anesthesia services across a wide range of surgical specialties while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and perioperative care.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for elective and emergency surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period, ensuring safe induction, maintenance, and recovery from anesthesia.
- Manage airway emergencies, resuscitation, and critically ill patients.
- Provide acute and chronic pain management services.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME).
- Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, and anesthesia staff where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and clinical governance standards.
Requirements
Qualifications & requirements
- MBBS/MD with a postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology (MD, DNB, FRCA, Arab Board, or equivalent).
- Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant qualification in Anesthesiology.
- Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience at the consultant level.
- Eligibility for or possession of a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Consultant license. Candidates eligible for licensing are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong expertise in perioperative medicine, regional anesthesia, critical care, obstetric anesthesia, and pain management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience working in internationally accredited hospitals is highly desirable.
- Fellowship training in Pain Medicine, Cardiac Anesthesia, Neuroanesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, or Critical Care is an added advantage.
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
