A leading multispecialty hospital in Dubai, UAE is expanding its perioperative and critical care services and is inviting applications from experienced Consultant/Specialist Anesthesiologists to join its multidisciplinary clinical team.

The hospital operates within a modern, internationally accredited environment and provides access to advanced operating theatres, intensive care units, and a diverse international patient population.

This role offers the opportunity to practice in a high-standard healthcare system while contributing to patient safety, perioperative care, and the development of advanced anesthesia services.

Role overview

  • Position: Consultant/Specialist Anesthesiologist
  • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Hospital type: Private/Government/Multispecialty/Tertiary Care (JCI-accredited)
  • Experience required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist/board certification
  • Clinical setting: Modern operating theatres, ICU support, and multidisciplinary surgical teams

The successful candidate will work closely with surgeons, intensivists, and nursing teams to ensure safe and effective anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical procedures.

Board recognition & eligibility

Applications are welcome from internationally trained anesthesiologists holding recognised specialist qualifications such as:

  • American Board of Anesthesiology
  • UK CCT/FRCA
  • European Board Certification
  • Royal College Certification (Canada)
  • Australian Fellowship
  • Arab Board
  • DM, MD, DrNB, FNB, DNB, FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification

Candidates should meet eligibility requirements for DHA/DOH license conversion (guidance and support provided).

Requirements

Key responsibilities

  • Provide preoperative patient evaluation and anesthesia planning
  • Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for surgical and diagnostic procedures
  • Monitor patients during surgery to ensure optimal physiological stability
  • Deliver postoperative pain management and recovery care
  • Participate in critical care and emergency response when required
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons and perioperative teams to ensure patient safety
  • Contribute to hospital clinical governance, quality assurance, and patient safety initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital protocols
