Contract Email Designer & Developer

The physical location for the contractor selected must reside within the central standard time zone and within the contiguous United States. This is a temporary contract position of up to 5 months, based on business needs.

As a member of the digital marketing team, this contract position serves as a graphic and email designer on staff. Our team is seeking a candidate with a strong graphic/visual design ability to produce graphics and bring them together for an optimal user experience. Our ideal candidate can design and build from scratch, break designs into responsive design code, and implement on marketing automation and corporate content management systems. Utilizing strong project management skills, this role interfaces with various cross-functional teams to build, manage and execute projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The individual is the point person who creates and implements programs across multiple digital channels in support of the organization’s strategic priorities.

What You'll Be Doing in this Contractor role

• Design email graphics, headers, and templates aligned with Komen’s brand.
• Build and set up emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including dynamic content and personalization. Collaborate with stakeholders to create engaging, user-friendly email experiences. Test and QA emails across devices and email clients before deployment. Maintain brand, accessibility, and UX best practices across email communications.

We Already Know You Will Also Have

• Bachelor's degree focused in digital media, graphic, web and email design or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a web/email designer.
• 2+ years of experience as a front-end web designer and developer with ability to understand, build and modify templates.
• Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or email marketing systems.
• Combination of education, training and experience that provides the individual the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
• Deep experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specific mastery with Photoshop and Canva.
• Experience with responsive design and scaling interfaces to multiple screen sizes.
• Experience working with enterprise level content management systems preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate a significant number of projects. Very detail-oriented and organized.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team, to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must have a strong sense of aesthetic and intuitive understanding of what makes a truly great interactive experience. Portfolio of current and past work can be submitted during the interview process but is not required for consideration.
