Contract System Engineer/Operator (Ref: JDB/MSI/CSE)

Requirements:

The Engineer shall:

• Provide onsite support services for system (critical) operations including but not limited to

1. Implement system changes, conduct system verification and testing

2. Perform server administration, monitoring, exception analysis and response

3. Perform network and server system configuration management and maintain operation manuals, procedures and network diagrams

4. Generate users reports and system statistics

The Operator shall:

• Perform system healthiness monitoring;

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks;

• Provide helpdesk support and log/update incoming enquiries

• Provide first line problem solving and escalation.

• Generate users reports and system statistics;

• Escalate critical and unresolved technical issues to Senior IT Helpdesk/Operator and Project Manager from time to time

Major Responsibilities

• Certificate or above in IT discipline or equivalent

• Fluent in spoken and written English & Chinese

• At least 2 years of IT working experience in data centre and helpdesk operation for System Operator

• At least 4 years of IT working experience for System Engineer

• Able to work on a 5-day shift roster (shifts including daytime, night-time and overnight) from Monday to Sunday, and Public Holidays

• Self-motivated, fast learning, result-oriented and willing to work under pressure
