Summary
A Controls Engineer in Pontiac, MI who programs Allen-Bradley PLC-based control systems using Studio 5000/Logix Designer, develops HMI applications (FactoryTalk Optix), and troubleshoots electrical controls, sensors, and I/O. - Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000 / Logix Designer.
- Experience developing HMI applications.
- Experience with FactoryTalk Optix, or strong Rockwell HMI experience with the ability and willingness to learn Optix.
- Familiarity with electrical controls, sensors, I/O, and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Understanding of PLC programming concepts such as sequencing, interlocks, alarms, fault handling, analog signals, and data handling.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with electrical, mechanical, and other technical team members.
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently when needed.
- Willingness to occasionally travel for customer support and equipment commissioning.
- Ability to commute to our Pontiac, MI facility on a daily basis.
