PLC PROGRAMMER

Job Summary

Develop, integrate, and maintain PLC control systems to optimize manufacturing processes. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless system operation and minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug control logic using Ladder Logic (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), or Structured Text (ST) to develop reliable automation programs
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate PLCs with HMIs and SCADA systems, ensuring cohesive system functionality
• Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions on the factory floor to reduce machine downtime and maintain production efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation of I/O configurations, wiring diagrams, and version controls to support system maintenance and upgrades

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Software Engineering
• Proficiency with industrial automation platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Keyence
• Strong understanding of communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profibus
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environments
