Job Description
Do you have a passion for cooking and delivering high-quality meals? As a Cook, you will play an essential role in preparing delicious, well-presented meals that enhance the daily lives of residents and guests.
Working as part of a collaborative culinary team, you will help create a welcoming dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and service.
Location: Park Terrace
Schedule: Sun/Mon 11:30a-8p & Thurs/Fri/Sat 10:30a-6:30p
Pay Range: $21-$25/hr BOE
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items with consistency, quality, and attention to detail
- Ensure timely meal preparation to support an exceptional dining experience across multiple venues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines
- Support meal preparation for special events and community functions
- Assist with inventory tracking and proper use of supplies
- Learn resident preferences to provide personalized service and exceed expectations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Assist with cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining kitchen equipment as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least one (1) year of cooking experience
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques, including mise en place
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic computer and POS skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Food Handler’s Certification (required per state guidelines)
