Core Developer - China Desk
You will join the Core Development team to design the core order management protocol of a high-performance trading system deployed in financial marketplaces around the world. You will manage internal message processing and connectivity to external trading destinations, ensuring all trades flow in and out of the system smoothly and at optimal speed. You will write modern C++ and Java code in a Linux environment, work with complex networking infrastructure such as TCP and UDP, and build low-latency, high-transaction distributed systems. You will support the China market, communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, and work with Chinese exchanges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Design the trading system's core order management protocol
- Manage internal message processing
- Manage connectivity to external trading destinations
- Ensure trades flow smoothly at optimal speed
- Develop in C++ and Java within a Linux environment
- Work with complex networking infrastructure including TCP and UDP
- Build low-latency and high-transaction systems
- Support the China market and communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
- Work with Chinese exchanges
Requirements
- Mastery of modern C++ programming
- Experience with Java programming
- Between 1 - 3 years of work experience preferred (talented graduates will be considered)
- Extensive experience developing in a Linux environment
- Experience working with complex networking infrastructure (TCP, UDP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of computer performance analysis
- Experience programming in high transaction environments and low-latency systems
- Experience in distributed and/or highly concurrent systems is a plus
- Interest in trading and financial markets
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is required
- Experience working with Chinese exchanges
- Excellent communication skills
- Candidates outside banking and finance preferred
