This role provides practical legal guidance on complex employment matters, helps mitigate employment-related risk, and supports fair, consistent, and defensible people practices across Concerto's growing multi-state workforce. The role also provides general corporate legal and contract support as needed.
What Will You Do?

- Lead and support internal workplace investigations, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, policy violations, and other employee concerns; provide guidance on findings, documentation, and appropriate next steps.
- Advise HR and business leaders on federal, state, and local employment laws and help navigate employment matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Partner with HR and outside immigration counsel to support employees requiring employment-based immigration sponsorship, including H-1B visas and other applicable visa categories, by coordinating documentation, supporting petition processes, monitoring key deadlines, and advising on employment-related immigration matters.
- Draft, review, edit, and negotiate a variety of legal contracts and agreements, including employment agreements, separation and release agreements, confidentiality agreements, independent contractor agreements, vendor/service agreements, NDAs, and other business contracts.
- Review contract terms to identify potential legal and business risks and recommend revisions, protections, or alternative language.
- Draft, review, and update employee handbooks, workplace policies, offer letter language, employment-related templates, and other HR documentation.
- Partner with HR on sensitive or complex employee matters, helping ensure decisions are legally sound, appropriately documented, and consistently applied.
- Provide legal guidance related to employee complaints, demand letters, agency charges, and employment claims, coordinating with outside counsel when necessary.
- Proactively identify employment-related legal risks and recommend practical solutions that balance legal requirements with the needs of the business.
