Corporate Legal Consultant / Attorney

Job Overview

Uvation is seeking a Corporate Legal Consultant / Attorney to manage legal advisory, compliance, and contractual matters across its Dubai (UAE) and European operations. This role supports a multi-entity AI GPU infrastructure business operating across jurisdictions with differing regulatory, employment, and corporate governance requirements. The ideal candidate is dual-qualified or has demonstrated working knowledge of both UAE (DIFC/mainland/free zone) and at least one major European jurisdiction's corporate and commercial law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts — vendor agreements, client MSAs/SOWs, NDAs, partnership and reseller agreements
  • Advise on corporate structuring and governance across Uvation's multi-entity setup (UAE free zone, European entity/entities)
  • Manage regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, including data protection (GDPR for Europe, UAE data protection law), employment law, and sector-specific compliance relevant to infrastructure/technology services
  • Support contractor and employment agreements in coordination with HR — including cross-border contractor arrangements and worker classification risk (e.g., independent contractor vs. employee tests under EU/UAE law)
  • Advise on and manage vendor/supplier disputes, invoice discrepancies, and contractual escalations
  • Support fundraising, investment, or M&A-related legal work as required
  • Liaise with external counsel in jurisdictions where local representation is required
  • Maintain corporate records, board resolutions, and statutory filings across entities
  • Flag legal and regulatory risk proactively to leadership before it becomes a liability

Required Qualifications

  • Law degree and active bar admission/license in UAE and/or a European jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 5–8 years years of corporate/commercial legal experience, ideally in-house or with a corporate law firm serving technology/infrastructure clients
  • Demonstrated experience with cross-border contracts and multi-jurisdictional compliance
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and UAE data protection frameworks
  • Experience advising on contractor vs. employee classification issues across jurisdictions

Preferred

  • Prior experience in technology, cloud infrastructure, or AI/GPU-related industries
  • Experience working with Deel or similar EOR/contractor management platforms

What We're Looking For

Someone comfortable operating with significant autonomy across jurisdictions with limited local precedent, who flags risk early and in plain language rather than after the fact.
