Hybrid in Chicago, IL

Our client is seeking a CRM Business Systems Analyst to play an important role in the continued evolution of a large scale Salesforce environment. This position is ideal for an experienced business analyst who enjoys bringing clarity to complex situations, partnering with teams across an organization, and turning changing business needs into practical technology solutions. With ongoing transformation creating new priorities and opportunities, this individual will have meaningful visibility, broad cross functional exposure, and the ability to influence how teams use Salesforce and supporting business processes moving forward.

This Role Offers:

  • Competitive base compensation, plus a 15 percent target annual bonus.
  • Opportunity to contribute to significant enterprise transformation and CRM modernization initiatives.
  • Broad exposure to business functions, technology partners, users, and organizational leadership.
  • A role where independent thinking, adaptability, and strong business judgment are highly valued.
  • Potential for continued career development and future leadership opportunities.

Focus:

  • Lead discovery conversations with business partners to identify challenges, clarify needs, and translate findings into actionable Salesforce requirements.
  • Analyze and document current and future business processes across multiple functions, identifying gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and other materials that give delivery teams clear direction.
  • Serve as a key connection point between business users and Salesforce technical resources, bringing strong functional platform knowledge to solution discussions.
  • Coordinate CRM enhancements through requirements, prioritization, testing, release preparation, and adoption while evaluating impacts to connected systems and processes.
  • Support a two-week Agile delivery cadence by facilitating planning, standups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, ticket management, and other Scrum activities.
  • Apply strong analytical and data skills to investigate business questions, validate solutions, and support useful reporting and dashboard development.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a changing environment while tailoring communication and collaboration approaches to different leaders, users, and technical teams.

Skill Set:

  • Approximately five years of Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or closely related experience is preferred. Candidates with at least three years may be considered when their experience strongly aligns with the remaining requirements.
  • Strong experience with business systems, supported by solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Candidates whose experience is primarily Salesforce development or administration may not be the right fit.
  • Demonstrated ownership of requirements gathering and business process documentation across more than two business units or an enterprise population of approximately 200 or more users.
  • Strong Agile and Scrum experience, including two-week sprint cycles, backlog and ticket management, Agile ceremonies, and facilitation or Scrum Master responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and data capabilities, including the ability to interpret business information and work effectively with Salesforce reports, dashboards, and related data tools.
  • Proven ability to work independently, bring structure to ambiguous problems, and keep initiatives progressing when requirements or organizational priorities change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style across executives, business stakeholders, users, project teams, and technical partners.
  • A stable professional history is preferred. Candidates with consulting, contract, or shorter-term positions should be prepared to provide clear context for those transitions. Salesforce or Agile certifications and experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud are beneficial.
