Develops and maintains technical documentation for Nokia's Fixed Networks products, collaborating with teams to deliver web-based content using markup languages and Agile/DevOps practices.
Customer Documentation Developer independently creates high-quality, user-focused technical documentation for complex Fixed Networks products. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing documentation schedules, and delivering web-based content aligned with Agile and DevOps practices, while following structured writing methodologies and corporate quality standards.
- Design and develop high-quality, customer-oriented technical documentation for complex broadband access products, aligning with SDLC, DDLC, and structured writing principles.
- Independently manage documentation your work and deliverables, manage schedules and coordinate documentation team effort for projects, ensuring timely releases that align with product development timelines.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including PLM, R&D, and Test to gather accurate technical information for documentation.
- Develop and maintain documentation and integrate content into web-based publications using Markup (Asciidoc/XML)/Markdown languages
- Use various authoring tools like Arbortext, Oxygen XML, and graphic editors (e.g., SnagIt) based on project requirements
- Leverage Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to align documentation workflows with continuous software delivery cycles.
Experience using defect-tracking systems and centralized knowledge base (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to manage content lifecycle, reviews, and updates.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12–16 years of experience in technical documentation within Telecommunications or Optical Networking.
- Skilled in structured writing, SDLC/DDLC, XML/DITA tools (Arbortext, Oxygen), and markup languages like XML, AsciiDoc, and Markdown.
- Experienced in Agile, DevOps, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, single-sourcing, and scalable content management practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills with the ability to manage schedules, lead teams, and adapt quickly.
It would be nice if you also have:
- Working knowledge of basic Python/UNIX scripting for interacting with development/test environments.
- Hands-on experience with API documentation, including integration into customer-facing technical content.
- Experience with use of AI in documentation workflows.
