Customer Quality Engineer #JTL
Summary
Customer Quality Engineer troubleshoots technical issues, resolves quality complaints, and coordinates corrective actions for precision engineering or semiconductor products in Singapore.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers on products, equipment, and engineering solutions.
- Investigate customer complaints, quality issues, and product non-conformities using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis).
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams.
- Support root cause analysis and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, inspection reports, and technical documentation to support customer requirements.
- Participate in customer audits, quality reviews, and technical meetings.
- Prepare customer reports, failure analysis reports, and quality documentation.
- Monitor customer feedback, KPIs, and service performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and delivery expectations.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering change requests (ECR/ECO), and process improvement initiatives where required.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in customer support, quality engineering, application engineering, or manufacturing within the precision engineering or semiconductor industry.
