Customer Service Tech I - Bryan

FIBERTOWN is looking for a Customer Service Technician for their Bryan, TX Data Center.

Position Objective

  • Provide 1st level customer support to FIBERTOWN clients
  • Monitor and support facility and network health objectives
  • Assist in collecting performance metrics of facility systems
  • Assist in service delivery functions as necessary

Performance Standards

  • Providing exceptional customer service to all customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Constantly representing Astin in a positive and professional manner regardless of customer requests, complaints, or demeanor.
  • Complying with Astin policies and procedures.
  • Interacting with other Astin employees, suppliers, and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Communicating work progress and significant issues to your supervisor.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone support for FIBERTOWN clients
  • Monitor and escalate issues to various responsible parties
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance with computer systems or network
  • Follow basic procedures and scripts
  • Identify problems, troubleshoot and provide advice to assist users
  • Documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum HS diploma or equivalent with some college preferred
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of networking and networking components

Good written and verbal communication skills required

We are a 24/7/365 operation and the selected candidate will need to be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and company Holidays. Initial training will be during the week but may be flexible with scheduling.
