Cyber Security Engineer - Cloud

Summary

Build and maintain SIEM environments in Azure, onboarding cloud data and configuring security tools to support 24/7 threat monitoring and detection for a UK cybersecurity operations team.

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We are looking for someone with a good technical background and experience across cloud and on-premise technologies.
  • We need demonstrable technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure components, particularly Sentinel.
  • We require a considerable understanding of firewall and networking systems.
  • You should be diligent and detail-oriented, with the ability to ensure tickets, emails and technical documentation meet team standards.
  • We need an understanding of Git repositories and code management technologies such as Azure DevOps and Bitbucket.
Responsibilities:
  • We will have you build and maintain SIEM environments, with a focus on core environment setup and cloud data onboarding.
  • You will work closely with stakeholders to support both straightforward and complex data ingestion routes.
  • You will collaborate with teams to engineer technical solutions.
  • You will help deliver a robust and reliable SIEM platform for our 24/7 Cyber Security Operations team to monitor and detect potential threats.
  • You will install, maintain and configure cyber security toolsets, including SIEM, SOAR, cloud and other protection and monitoring technologies.
  • You will contribute to large, complex projects across enterprise networks, including technology onboarding.
  • You will work in agile, cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships across the business.
  • You will help ensure the availability, scalability and reliability of our cyber toolset and maintain production systems and future roadmap technologies.
  • You may be required to provide on-call support.
