Cybersecurity Engineer (m/f/n)

Summary

Cybersecurity Engineer designs and secures public-sector cloud platforms, integrating security tools and automating deployments via GitLab CI/CD while acting as SRE and service owner.

Currently, for one of our Partners, we are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer (m/f/n) to support a critical public sector project based in Luxembourg.

Offer:

  • Contract: B2B via SHIMI Poland

  • Type of work: 100% Remote

  • Rate: up to 135 PLN/h net + VAT

  • Start date: 01.09.2026 (or ASAP)

  • End date: 31.08.2027 (with a high possibility of extension)

Scope of duties:

  • Capture business requirements, define, validate, and coordinate service changes with stakeholder teams across various client sectors.

  • Act as Service Owner or Service Delivery Manager for designated technical services, taking responsibility for service strategy and daily operations.

  • Serve as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for designated technical services, covering underlying infrastructure, operating systems, container runtime environments, networking, and platform-specific technologies.

  • Lead or participate in incident and problem management related to critical technology platforms operated by the team.

  • Lead and contribute to technical projects involving custom software development, infrastructure/solution development, and security engineering.

  • Customize and integrate various cybersecurity COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) platforms and tools within the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) portfolio.

  • Configure GitLab CI/CD pipelines in alignment with corporate practices, including static/dynamic application security testing, automated infrastructure provisioning, and application deployment/rollback strategies.

  • Configure and manage GitLab Runners tailored to different project requirements and operating models.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience in a Cybersecurity Engineer, DevSecOps, or SRE role.

  • Strong hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) across OS, networking, and container runtime environments.

  • Solid background in cybersecurity tools, security engineering, and COTS platform integration within a CSOC environment.

  • Deep knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipelines, security testing integration, and infrastructure automation.

  • Experience in service management (acting as Service Owner/Service Delivery Manager) and leading incident/problem management processes.

  • EU Citizenship is required (due to public sector compliance regulations).

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

  • Experience working on public sector or high-security domain projects.

  • Practical knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and advanced containerization orchestration.
