The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security DevOps Engineer (SecDevOps) to join our team. This role plays a critical part in building, maintaining, and enforcing automated security guards within our CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between software development, IT operations, and Cyber Security, ensuring that software is delivered quickly without sacrificing compliance within the DevOps ecosystem.

This position is 100% on-site.

The Cyber Security DevOps Engineer (SecDevOps) will also:

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade on-premises cloud infrastructure
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters in production environments
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Helm charts for application deployment
  • Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational tasks using Python
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Argo CD
  • Implement GitOps practices for Kubernetes deployments
  • Implement cloud and infrastructure security controls based on industry best practices
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, security hardening, and patch management
  • Configure and manage IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and certificate management
  • Integrate cybersecurity tools such as vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, SIEM, and compliance platforms
  • Deploy and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Splunk, or similar).
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and security incidents
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, networking, and security teams to deliver secure platform services
  • Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering
  • 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes administration in production environments
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.     • Kubernetes

    • Linux administration
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker/Containerd).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPNs).
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and GitOps methodologies
  • Knowledge of enterprise storage and virtualization platforms
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as:
    • Prometheus
    • Grafana
    • ELK/OpenSearch
    • Dynatrace
    • Datadog
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools including:
    • Vulnerability Management (Tenable, Qualys, Nessus)
    • SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk Enterprise Security, QRadar)
    • Endpoint Detection & Response (Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike)
    • Secrets Management (HashiCorp Vault or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • RBAC
    • Network Policies
    • Pod Security
    • Kubernetes Security
    • CIS Benchmarks
    • Zero Trust principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, or Rancher
  • Experience managing private cloud platforms such as VMware or OpenStack,
  • Experience with disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning

Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or PCI DSS
