Cyber Security Strategy Consultant

Salary: AUD 1000 - 1200 per day

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Cyber Security professional to support the delivery, accreditation and sustainment of advanced Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) capabilities. Working within a specialist Program Office environment, you will provide systems engineering and cyber security expertise to ensure critical Defence capabilities meet compliance, accreditation and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the introduction into service of UAS capabilities through systems engineering activities
• Assess design and technical documentation against security and engineering requirements
• Develop and maintain accreditation documentation, risk assessments and compliance artefacts
• Evaluate security controls against the ISM, Essential Eight and related security frameworks
• Conduct security assurance, compliance assessments and gap analysis activities
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to contractors, project teams and senior stakeholders

Key Skills:

• Strong Cyber Security and System Security experience
• Systems and Software Engineering background
• Security certification, accreditation and compliance expertise
• Experience with cyber security assessments and risk management
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, ISM and Essential Eight frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical reporting skills
