Cybersecuirity Engineer/Security Engineer

Salary: ₱45,000 – ₱60,000 per month

JOB DESCRIPTION
-Designing and establishing technical safeguards to protect system assets, data, and networks.
-Perimeter and segment-level network protection to filter malicious traffic and prevent unauthorized lateral movement
-Sustaining centralized visibility into log data to enable threat detection, incident response, and threat hunting.
-Monitor network bandwidth, SIEM log volume consumption (GB/day), and log retention limits to anticipate infrastructure scaling needs.
-Test and apply regular firmware updates, hotfixes, and software releases across firewall appliances, proxy nodes, and SIEM instances.
-Continuously review firewall rulesets to eliminate obsolete rules and audit SIEM alerts to filter out benign system noise.
-Serve as Level 2 / Level 3 escalation support for Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts during active security incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS
-At least a graduate of BS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology and IT -related degree
-With at least 3-5 years of similar experience in an IT/BPO industry
