Job Summary:
Mayfair Gearbox is looking for a hands-on BI Developer / Management Reporting Analyst to build and implement the company’s first management dashboard environment. The role will involve collecting data from Excel files, ERP exports, finance reports, claims reports, production sheets and branch KPI files, cleaning and structuring the data, and building Power BI dashboards for production, claims, CSI, debtors, cash outstanding and operational KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven Experience as a BI Developer, preferably from the Automotive industry
- Pull data from Excel, folders, ERP exports, Sage, Autoplan, debtors reports, claims sheets, production sheets, CSI files, etc.
- Clean bad data, Duplicate job cards, wrong branch names, inconsistent dates, missing claim numbers, different spreadsheet formats, bad technician names — this is where the real work is.
- Build a central reporting model Not just pretty graphs. They must structure the data properly, so the same numbers repeat every month without rebuilding everything manually.
- Build dashboards Most likely in Power BI.
- Work directly with you They must be business-minded enough to understand which branch is slipping, where claims are rising, where cash is stuck, and which manager is not performing.”
- Train the branch/admin teams If the source Excel sheets are messy, they must standardise the templates and teach people how to submit the data properly
