Onsite Data Analyst in Long Island City, NY for an IT consulting/staffing firm. The role collects, cleans, and analyzes large datasets using SQL and Python, then builds and maintains dashboards, reports, and visualizations (Power BI/Tableau) that management uses for decision-making.
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Data Analyst local to New York City for an onsite role. The Data Analyst transforms raw data using experience in SQL and Python, to develop dashboards and reports used by management to inform decision.

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1-3 years of functional or data analyst experience
- Experience collecting, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets
- Strong analytical skills including data cleaning, analysis, and visualization
- Experience creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses
- Experience developing reports using Power BI and/or Tableau
- Familiarity with data warehouses, ETL tools, and/or other data storage solutions
- Understanding of business processes and translating end-user needs into actionable data
- Ability to conduct business analysis and research to identify key metrics and improvement opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience with Python and/or SQL
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital and analytical tools through certificates and/or certifications (preferred but acceptable as experience-based knowledge)
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Collect, validate, cleanse and manipulate large amounts of data and datasets
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
- Conduct extensive data analysis using SQL and Python
- Train end users on the use of created reports and dashboards
