  • Producing Data Governance standards, guidelines, and best practices that can be replicated across different platforms, technologies, and teams;
  • Leading strategic Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives and projects, from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, adoption, and results tracking;
  • Defining and monitoring Data Governance and Data Quality KPIs and reporting, producing analyses and improvement recommendations;
  • Driving engagement and enablement across teams and stakeholders, through materials, guidelines, and training sessions that promote consistent adoption of data governance practices;

What should you bring to the team

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Management, or a related field;
  • Solid knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality practices, frameworks, and processes;
  • Experience with Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Business Glossary, Data Catalog, Data Lineage, and Data Quality;
  • Experience with Data Governance and/or Data Quality tools;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of databases and analytics technologies, including Data Lake, Lakehouse architectures, and NoSQL storage;
  • Experience with at least one Cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform;
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, including their concepts, architectures, and data management/governance capabilities;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging with both technical and business stakeholders;
  • Ability to define Data Governance standards and solutions, guide teams, and drive adoption of these practices within a large organization;
  • Experience working in collaborative settings with multidisciplinary or global teams;
  • Strong commitment to quality in every deliverable;
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, written and spoken;

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector;
  • Knowledge of GDPR and privacy/data protection best practices;
  • Experience in strategic or organizational transformation projects;
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies;
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence;
  • Knowledge of Spanish, written and spoken;
  • Experience defining Data Governance operating models: data catalogs, business glossaries, data ownership, data stewardship, data lineage, and quality metrics;

What is in it for you

  • An amazing informal culture of smart, hardworking, and friendly people who support and care about each other;
  • A mentorship program from day one;
  • The opportunity to work on a large-scale data strategy and governance transformation project within the Energy & Utilities sector;
  • Formal training and certifications;
  • Access to cutting-edge tools and technologies;
  • A dynamic company where your ideas matter more than job titles;
  • Flexibility with responsibility;
