On-site Data Architect in Middlefield, OH who builds the company's data foundation: extracting and validating data from SQL Server, SalesPad, and Dynamics GP, designing a unified data model and pipelines, replacing Excel reporting with automated Power BI/Microsoft Fabric dashboards, and growing toward a central Lakehouse/Warehouse platform. Reports to the VP of IT.

Data Architect (Middlefield, OH)

Build the data foundation for a growing company.

We’re looking for a Data Architect who wants to own something. You’ll start by getting your hands into the data, then shape it into a unified, modern platform the whole business relies on. You’ll report to our Vice President of Information Technology and work closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations. Your work will be seen and used by leadership every day.

What makes this role different

  • Real ownership. You’re not maintaining someone else’s system. You’ll design the data model, choose the approach, and see it through.
  • A clear path. You’ll begin with hands-on reporting and analysis, then move into designing scalable data models, pipelines, and enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Modern tools. You’ll move our reporting from Excel to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, and help build toward a centralized Lakehouse/Warehouse platform.
  • Visibility. Your executive dashboards will inform decisions at the top of the company.
  • A long-term home. You’ll live with the architecture you build, which means you get to improve it, not hand it off.

What you’ll do

  • Extract, analyze, and validate data from our SQL Server databases, CMS applications, SalesPad, and Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Design and implement a unified data model across our business systems
  • Build and optimize data pipelines using SQL and modern data tools
  • Create dashboards and reports for Sales, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership
  • Replace manual, Excel-based reporting with automated, scalable solutions
  • Champion data quality, governance, and consistency
  • Turn business questions into technical solutions, and recommend improvements to our data and analytics strategy
