About the Role:
As a Data Center Lead Engineer, you will be a part of a team responsible for data center site operations and E&M technical maintenance management and planning work.
You will beresponsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems available in the data center campus.
What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and restore routine technical service and equipment.
- Address major network problems impacting multiple business locations, major network elements, or site outages. Verify all documentation is accurate and maintained.
- Maintain documentation of routine maintenance schedules, system configurations, applications, and technical reference materials.
- Develop, implement and audit local Method of Procedures (MOP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP's).
- Ensure electrical & mechanical infrastructure is maintained per manufacturers recommendation or client/CBRE statements of work (SOW).
- Closely monitor the Risk Assessments and Supplier activities on the site and ensure they follow current H&S legalisation.
- Manage contractors/suppliers to ensure maintenance, repairs, and operations are to a high standard and in line with maintenance agreements/SLAs.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering with 4-5 years of job-related experience, preferrably with experiencein the data center/critical environment sector
- Holder of Registered Electrical Workers (REW) License is a must.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Demonstrate a good understanding and be technically competent in all building services, in particular UPS, Generators, Static Switches, Water Treatment, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Ability to lead, motivate and direct a technical/engineering team.
- Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
- Supplier activities on the site and ensure they follow current H&S legalisation.
- Manage contractors/suppliers to ensure maintenance, repairs, and operations are to a high standard and in line with maintenance agreements/SLAs.
