Data Center Technician

Overview

We are seeking experienced Data Center Technicians to support a large-scale data center construction project in Red Oak, TX. This project is expected to last approximately 3-4 months, with the potential for extension and possible long-term opportunities based on business needs and performance.

Technicians will support the installation and deployment of fiber optic and copper cabling infrastructure within a fast-paced data center environment.

Schedule

• Night shift
• Start time: 7:00 PM (subject to project requirements)

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and install fiber optic and copper cabling
• Install backbone fiber, including high-count fiber cabling
• Install and connect pre-terminated fiber into cassettes and related equipment
• Perform cable dressing, labeling, and cable management
• Complete fiber and copper terminations
• Assist with rack and stack activities
• Support fiber testing and troubleshooting activities
• Utilize testing equipment such as Fluke testers and OTDR equipment when required
• Maintain compliance with site safety standards and established installation procedures
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality installations and timely project completion

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in data center cabling installation
• Experience pulling, routing, dressing, labeling, and terminating fiber optic and copper cabling
• Familiarity with rack and stack activities within a data center environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction or data center setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing and troubleshooting fiber or copper cabling using Fluke or OTDR equipment
• Previous experience supporting large-scale data center deployments

Top Skills Required

1. Data center cabling installation experience (fiber and/or copper)

4. Testing and troubleshooting experience with fiber or copper cabling is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Red Oak, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Red Oak,TX.
