Length: 6-month contract (initial), part of a broader analytics transformation programme

Role Summary


An Analytics Engineer joining the Analytics programme, building and maintaining data transformation pipelines that feed reporting and analytics across the business. This sits within a broader initiative rebuilding the analytics foundation and BI capability from the ground up – the trusted data layer feeding dashboards, self-service analytics, and eventually conversational/AI-enabled analytics.


Responsibilities



  • Build and maintain dbt models on top of the Databricks/GCP data stack

  • Write clean, tested, well-documented SQL transformations

  • Collaborate with Senior Analytics Engineers and BI Developers to deliver reliable, analysis-ready datasets

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues within existing pipelines

  • Support ad hoc data requests from BI and business stakeholders during the programme rollout


Requirements



  • Solid working experience with dbt and modern SQL-based transformation workflows

  • Experience with Databricks and/or BigQuery (GCP data stack)

  • Strong SQL skills; comfortable working with large, complex datasets

  • Understanding of data modelling fundamentals

  • Python experience a plus

  • Fluent English; Dutch a plus but not required
