Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytics datasets using Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for high-volume, high-dimensional data supporting semantic data models, reporting, advanced analytics, and AI use cases.
- Use SQL, Python, and distributed data processing frameworks to ensure performant, reliable, and reusable data assets.
- Implement and manage analytics-ready data layers consumed by Power BI and AI solutions.
- Support and enhance enterprise analytics platforms following the migration to Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
- Collaborate with analytics, data science, and business teams to translate requirements into robust data engineering solutions.
Job Qualifications
- Strong expertise in SQL and Python.
- Semantic data modeling concepts.
- Experience building and supporting Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Qualifications
- Databricks: Python, PySpark, or Scala.
- Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouses, Data Pipelines, notebooks).
- Microsoft BI ecosystem: Power BI, Analysis Services (Tabular, DAX).
- Experience with Big Data, distributed processing, and cloud-based data architectures.
- Exposure to AI and Machine Learning use cases, including data preparation for ML/AI models.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops, GitHub, and CI/CD.
