Data Engineer (Azure Data Platform) + Informatica

Summary

Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica and Microsoft Azure tools, migrating enterprise data to cloud-based Microsoft Fabric and integrating AI services like Azure OpenAI.

We are looking for an independent Consultant / Data Engineer who will help our clients bridge traditional, enterprise‑grade data platforms with modern cloud technologies. In this role, you will be a key contributor to data integration and migration projects, combining the advanced capabilities of the Informatica platform with the latest Microsoft analytics and AI solutions, including Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI.

Location: Wroclaw, PL

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ETL/ELT processes using Informatica platforms (PowerCenter or IDMC/IICS) as well as Microsoft technologies such as Data Factory and Synapse Spark.
  • Data Migration & Integration: Support the migration of data processes and data warehouses from on‑premises environments and Informatica‑based systems to the OneLake cloud repository within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Data Modeling & Quality: Ensure Data Governance standards, maintain data quality, and manage Data Lineage across Informatica and Microsoft ecosystems.
  • AI Implementation: Leverage built‑in AI capabilities, such as Microsoft Fabric Copilot and Azure OpenAI services, to automate and optimize data processing.
  • Business Consulting: Collaborate with architects and enterprise clients to optimize information flows within hybrid data architectures.

Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Minimum 3–4 years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer or ETL Consultant.
  • Informatica Expertise: Hands‑on experience with Informatica tools such as PowerCenter, Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and Data Quality.
  • Microsoft Ecosystem: Experience with Azure services (e.g., Data Factory, Azure SQL) and familiarity with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of advanced SQL and Python (PySpark experience is a plus).
  • Fluent Polish and English at a minimum B2 level (working with corporate documentation and enterprise systems).
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate within a team and report project status to stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications: Microsoft certifications such as DP‑600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) and/or DP‑203 (Azure Data Engineer), or official Informatica certifications.
  • Data Management: Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and/or Data Governance concepts.
  • Data Visualization: Basic understanding of Power BI and its integration with semantic data models.
