Data Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and governance tools to ensure transparent, traceable, and trusted financial data across systems.
You will become part of Data Governance Execution & Technology, where we work to operationalize Data Governance and ensure that data can be used effectively and correctly across the organization.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in establishing, maintaining, and further developing data solutions that support Nykredit’s Data Governance initiatives. You will work closely with both business stakeholders and technical specialists and help turn our Data Governance ambitions into practical solutions that create transparency, traceability, and trust in data.
Your direct manager will be Aleksandra Zasońska.
Primary tasks and responsibilities
- work with information architecture in practice by structuring data and metadata and helping stakeholders understand conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- develop and maintain data pipelines and integrations across systems
- support data quality measurements and implementation of data controls
- work with data lineage and ensure traceability across data flows
- contribute to optimizing performance, structure, and data models in our Data Governance tool
- identify opportunities to optimize and streamline processes, including the use of AI and automation to improve data quality, workflows, and decision-making
- collaborate closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and governance roles across the organization
To succeed you will have
- strong competencies in SQL and data modelling
- experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration
- familiarity with modern data platforms such as cloud environments, data warehouses, and pipelines
- analytical mindset and the ability to navigate complex data landscapes

- Experience with data Governance and data quality
- Experience with metadata, lineage, and data management
- Knowledge of information architecture and relationships between data, concepts, and business processes
- Experience working with financial data or other regulated environments
