Data Engineer
Summary
Builds and maintains data pipelines, BI reports, and SQL solutions to improve reporting, automate processes, and enhance data quality for an internal IT team.
We’re working with an established organisation based in Whiteley who are looking for a BI & Data Engineer to join their internal IT team.
This is a hands‑on role sitting between data, technology and business operations, with the opportunity to improve reporting, automate processes and build reliable data solutions.
The Role:
- Develop Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
- Develop SQL / T‑SQL solutions
- Work with Azure SQL, Synapse and Microsoft Fabric
- Improve data quality, governance and reporting
- Support EDI, integrations and automation
- Support data warehouse, database and reporting environments
What We're Looking For:
- Strong SQL / T‑SQL
- Experience with ETL/ELT or data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modelling
- Experience with CI/CD
- Excellent stakeholder communication and requirements‑gathering skills
Desirable: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Logic Apps, Dynamics 365 F&O, EDI, Azure DevOps, Power Automate/Power Apps and data governance.
