Data Engineer – Data Warehouse & BI
Summary
GRiT Solutions is hiring a Data Engineer in Portugal to build and evolve data warehouses and BI solutions: writing advanced T-SQL, SSIS ETL pipelines, Kimball dimensional models, and Power BI/Microsoft Fabric reporting. Requires 3-5 years of data engineering experience and fluent Portuguese.

Must-Have:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Engineering
- Strong experience with SQL Server on-premises and advanced T-SQL
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Knowledge of Python applied to Data Engineering
- Experience with dimensional modelling, particularly Kimball methodology and star schemas
- Experience building and evolving Data Warehouses
- Experience with Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric
- Hands-on experience developing ETL processes and dimensional models in project environments
- Ability to work autonomously based on technical specifications
- Fluent Portuguese
- Working proficiency in English
Would be great if you have:
- Experience working with ERP data
- Exposure to Microsoft cloud environments (Azure / Microsoft Fabric)
- Experience with Medallion architecture
- Experience with dbt or Apache Airflow
- Experience documenting data architecture, mappings, and business rules
