About the role:
Senior Data Engineer role focused on Balance Sheet Management & Risk Management (Banking). You will lead and contribute to hands-on development, design data engineering solutions, and mentor junior developers while ensuring high-quality technical delivery across the team.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and contribute to hands-on development using SQL and Python on Databricks.
Design, build, and oversee data engineering solutions, including ETL pipelines and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, dbt, Spark).
Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in coding standards (Databricks).
Optimize and perform performance tuning for large-scale data processing, especially in financial data environments
Define and enforce testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT coordination
Translate and align business requirements into technical design, coordinating across multiple workstreams
Qualification:
10+ years experience in Data Engineer.
Strong hands-on coding experience in SQL (Databricks).
Strong hands-on coding experience in Python (Databricks).
Proven experience in data engineering, ETL development, and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Spark).
Experience in optimize and performance tuning for large-scale data processing.
Familiarity with testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and UAT.
