In this Data Engineer role within Finance Systems and Analytics, you design, build and maintain data products powering financial insight at scale. You’ll work at the heart of Finance to enable better decision-making across systems, applying modern engineering practices in a DevOps environment. You’ll tackle large, complex datasets and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver measurable commercial value. Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain scalable data products delivering insights across finance systems
  • Design and optimise ETL processes to ensure data integrity and performance
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts and business teams to deliver data solutions
  • Participate in agile delivery, including planning and retrospectives
  • Support operational performance, monitoring and reliability of data platforms
  • Work with large, complex datasets to support financial reporting and decision-making
  • Evolve data engineering practices to improve data quality and business value
Key requirements
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and scalable data products with structured and unstructured data
  • Strong SQL knowledge, ideally in Snowflake
  • Experience with at least one server-side language (Python, Java, Kotlin or NodeJS)
  • Knowledge of event-driven, loosely coupled architectures and data processing patterns
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Terraform)
  • Experience applying test driven development or behaviour driven development
  • Experience with automated testing techniques in data or software engineering environments
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
