A fully remote Data Engineer role (via AIQU's client in Saudi Arabia) designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models on Google Cloud Platform, using BigQuery, SQL, and Python to ensure data quality, performance, and security.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with 5-7 years of hands-on experience to design build and maintain scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform In this fully remote role you will leverage GCP services Python SQL and BigQuery to drive data-driven insights and ensure the performance reliability and security of our data infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain ETL ELT pipelines using GCP services
- Implement and optimize data models and schemas in BigQuery
- Write efficient SQL queries and Python scripts for data transformation and analysis
- Collaborate with data scientists analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions
- Monitor pipeline performance troubleshoot issues and ensure data quality and reliability
- Document data workflows architectures and best practices
- Implement data governance security controls and compliance standards
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
- Experience with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code Terraform Deployment Manager
- Knowledge of dbt or similar data transformation frameworks
- Experience with real-time data streaming technologies Pub Sub Dataflow Streaming
- Exposure to additional cloud platforms AWS Azure
