Data Engineer
Summary
Builds and maintains production data solutions and workflows using Elixir or Ruby alongside Python, working with PostgreSQL and SQLite. The role applies data engineering lifecycle practices, writes efficient SQL, and collaborates in a technical environment while managing priorities independently.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain production data solutions using Elixir or Ruby
Build and support data workflows using Python and/or Elixir
Work with databases such as PostgreSQL and SQLite
Apply data engineering lifecycle practices across development and communication
Write efficient SQL and work with database internals
Collaborate in a highly technical environment while managing priorities independently
About you
At least 2 years of production experience using Elixir or Ruby for data-related projects
2–3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Full-Stack Development, or similar Big Data roles
Experience working with Python and/or Elixir
Experience with PostgreSQL, SQLite, or similar database technologies
Experience implementing the Data Engineering Lifecycle in an organization
Experience with SQL and database internals
Familiarity with machine learning concepts
