Data Engineer (Snowflake with DBT) Bangalore Location

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in data warehousing and modern data stack technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Snowflake, DBT, and SQL, along with exposure to banking domain projects.

This role requires someone who has worked on core data engineering (not ETL/BI-focused profiles) and can build scalable, high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions

Work extensively with Snowflake and DBT for data transformation and modeling

Write optimized and complex SQL queries for large datasets

Collaborate with business and tech teams to understand data requirements

Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization

Work on data modeling, schema design, and data architecture

Support data integration across multiple systems in a banking domain environment

Troubleshoot data issues and optimize existing pipelines

Mandatory Skills

Strong expertise in SQL (advanced level)

Hands-on experience with Snowflake

Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool)

Experience in Data Warehousing projects

Strong knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle / DB2)

Exposure to Banking / Financial Services domain

Good to Have

Hands-on experience in Python

Understanding of modern data engineering practices

Experience with performance tuning and optimization
