We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing Data team in a greenfield environment. This is an exciting opportunity to help build data architecture, scalable pipelines, and governance frameworks that support business intelligence, AI initiatives, analytics, and secure data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to extract data from various business systems.
- Organise and classify data using ROT (Redundant, Obsolete, Trivial) analysis techniques.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint, and related technologies.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across data platforms.
- Build and maintain data models for reporting and analytics.
- Provide clean, structured, and governed datasets for Power BI reporting.
- Support AI and machine learning initiatives by ensuring data is clean, structured, and accessible.
- Develop and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
- Monitor and optimise data workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including building and supporting data solutions.
- Experience with greenfield implementations, digital transformation, BI, data warehousing, and analytics environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft data technologies, including:
- Microsoft Fabric
- SharePoint
- Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT, data modelling, data warehousing, and scalable data architecture.
- Experience integrating systems through REST APIs/webhooks.
- Experience managing identity using Microsoft Entra ID.
- Understanding of data governance, data lifecycle management, and AI/ML data requirements.
- Knowledge of Dataverse is advantageous.
- Additional Microsoft certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-900, or SC-900 are an advantage.
